The Party is Moving to ElleCoyote!

I am an avatar, and I wanted to create my own individual avatar blog. Now, however, Ellen McCormick Martens, my Creatrix, has decided she prefers me to post to her RL blog, ElleCoyote. Please join me there!

Moving (Tree)house

I am comfortable in Davenport, having moved that huge, honking treehouse around till I was almost at wit's end.

Now I am near the cairn and overlooking the water. I can see my boathouse from my front door.

On The Waterfront

I made the decision to rent more land in Bodega, and built this little boathouse and dock, so that I can sail at will! I am thrilled.

She Builds ...

Here in Bodega there is a beautiful classical building going up. Young Geoffrion has set out some well-proportioned columns, a horse, a star of some sort, a jar of eyeballs and a lovely calling card from one Osprey Therian. In the background you can see part of Salazar's Tower, and the tip-top of my hollow tree moveable dwelling. It is an exciting time in the neighborhood!

New Neighbor!

Sal said I had a prim allotment because I donated my 512 that comes with my account, so I could build in the Forest of Kahruvel in Bodega. I found this old hollow tree and moved in!

It is a spacious home for a tree. Must have been quite an imposing specimen!

I prefer not to cook at home, so I just have a tiny parlor, with lots of windows to enjoy the light (and spy on people driving by on the road!).

Eventful Evening

I went to Bodega Bay, where I found Osprey about to try out Neal Lyle's airship, which she did. I am in this photo; can you find me lolling there?

Shortly after Osprey left for other places, Salazar arrived and I asked him to show me land I could rent or buy. He then said he could show me somewhere wonderful. Turns out that was Miriel, a private island with beautiful trees, boulders and cliffs. Young joined us there, and we explored a bit.

Apothecary Bottles

This backdrop is tentative ... Osprey was planning to make shelves, but I needed something to size the bottles up wiht, so I made shelves anyway. We have a fun dancing bottle act we are working on. Look for updates later!

Five Years in Second Life!

Today is my rezday. Five years ago today I joined Second Life; it took some time to get used to it, what with typing movements, alternating night and day, and building, but I am quite comfortable there now, with my friends and creative work to do.

This is the earliest pic I have, from August of 2004. I am on my deck somewhere (I don't even remember all the places I have lived), with my purchased patio furniture and rug. Now I make most of what I use, but then I really had no clue how to do anything. Thanks to those who understood building, scripting, particles, and those sorts of things, I am able to be a bit more independent, but I still buy stuff that is beyond my capacities.

Second Life has given my life a new dimension. It is not a substitute for but an augmentation of, my First Life.

Admiring My Work

I found an image of an old apothecary bottle online and made it tonight. I may as well keep working on the bottle sketch as I have little else to occupy my mind. I think it is quite handsome. I tried to upload its numerical label but the server was being uncooperative.

The Show Really Must Go On!

Our Director, Osprey Therian, has decided to step down (or back), and we are attempting to pilot the ship of our variety show on our own (we = Headburro Antfarm, Lucy Tornado and I).

The show has always been Osprey's project, and we worked hard at it. Now we will continue in a different manner.

We hope to have at least one show a month in our home theatre and one elsewhere, but we have not settled on a real plan yet.

Imagine Fuzzy's Dismay ...

... when he visited my gallery and found that oddly positioned column had been removed (without prior notification). He was, naturally, horrified and mystified.

Fuzzy Finds a Flaw

My landlord, the kindly and gentle Salazar Jack, modified the doorway to the west side of my gallery in Grignano (top floor, The Brownstone East), so that it now matches the other entry, but he was unable to move the column (owned by one Osprey Therian of Bodega). Fuzzy discovered this discrepancy (Sal apologized, he was having back problems), and pointed it out for us.

Fuzzy has a very much more accurate SL look, with new flexi hair and a tie.

Fuzzy Wuzzy Has New Hair

Here is Fuzzy's new profile pic for your amusement. He is not amused.

Going Tiny for the Last Blast of Xmas!

Last night I visited Raglan Shire again, just to see what they were up to. They were just finishing up their Friday Night Game of Primtionary, then all did Tiny Riverdance (I joined in), then they were going to have a movie later.

Zayn Till showed me around the WinterFest, with wonderful decorations and thick sweaters for sale. I made a Snow Angel, rode a Tiny Hoverboard, and generally had a blast.

Zayn was telling me that all this is shortly to be gone, but there would be Valentine's Day and Mardi Gras coming up. These are some PARTYIN (LITTLE) PEOPLE!

Hamster! On a Piano!

The Tinies kept yelling, "HAMSTER!!!", "ON A PIANO!!!", and I was confused until they gave me a link to this video of a silly confused hamster!

Visiting in Raglan Shire

My friend Betty Barbecue was online tonight, for the first time in eons, and she was visiting the Tinies in Raglan Shire! She TP'd me and we all did the Tiny RiverDance together, which made quite a racket on that wooden floor, let me tell you!
Was funne .... YESH!

New Year, New Location

Mysterio Gallery has moved to The Brownstone East in Grignano. Contraction seems to be the mood of the times, and I am going with the flow.

Madam, I'm Adam ...

Lucy has a Secret Garden that can be entered only through a tiny door, and HBA Lucy and I gathered around the table there.

Meanwhile back at the gallery (earlier) ...

Someone flew into my apartment above the gallery, where HBA, Lucy and I were hard at play, working on the fleas, with lucy showing off her new mini car. He was born today. The newbie's name was Adam Greybeard:

HeadBurro Antfarm: You passing by or looking for the gallery?
Adam Greybeard: i want to sell real world art
Enjah Mysterio: you DO?
Enjah Mysterio: OH!
HeadBurro Antfarm: Really? Enjah is your woman!
Adam Greybeard: yes!
Enjah Mysterio: what sort of work do you do?
Enjah Mysterio shouts: lucy?
Enjah Mysterio shouts: are you OK?
Adam Greybeard: yes
Adam Greybeard: thanks
Lucy Tornado shouts: nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Enjah Mysterio: no lol lucy
Enjah Mysterio: is lucy ok
Adam Greybeard: brb
Adam Greybeard: cigarette
Enjah Mysterio: eeuw
Enjah Mysterio: where IS lucy?
HeadBurro Antfarm: i've no idea...
Enjah Mysterio: there she is
HeadBurro Antfarm: Has Adam gone?
Enjah Mysterio: he is smoking I guess

time passes ...

Adam Greybeard: i am back
Enjah Mysterio: hi
Enjah Mysterio: did you have a cigarette in your eye?
Enjah Mysterio: or what?
Enjah Mysterio: did it drop on your thigh?
Adam Greybeard: no
Enjah Mysterio: Adam?
Adam Greybeard: nup
Enjah Mysterio: why did you have to leave?
Adam Greybeard: i smoke it with delight its the smoke
Enjah Mysterio: ok well, it was a sudden thing
Enjah Mysterio: seems rude to me
Enjah Mysterio: you could have waited a bit, couldn't you?
Adam Greybeard: i could have
Adam Greybeard: should have
Adam Greybeard: i am a prophet
Adam Greybeard: my sketches are worth much money
Enjah Mysterio: oh please
Adam Greybeard: i am Stylae
Enjah Mysterio: so?
Enjah Mysterio: that means nothing to me
HeadBurro Antfarm: Stylae? What is that, Adam?
Adam Greybeard: bye
Enjah Mysterio: bye

I thought running off to smoke was an odd thing to do in the middle of presenting work to a gallery owner. Looking back I realize that we were having at least three conversations at the same time, with Lucy and her mini car, falling off the edge into the ocean, and that he probably did not know I was trying to focus on him and find out what sort of work he did. Oh well.
