Grignano must be going to seed. A pawnshop just opened at the back of The Brownstone East! I am amazed there could be enough business for such a place, but times are hard. I believe the proprietor is one Fuzzy Bunyip. Sounds like an alias to me!
The new show at my gallery is selected pieces from my personal collection. I have occasionally purchased the work of artists in Second Life, including some sculpture, and I want to share the beauty I have admired. The opening will be next Saturday, March 29, 2008, at 11AM.
I took my house down this evening because I was tired of it,and I put up one of Osprey's gorgeous tents. Inside I have my simple black table, on which is my radio, and my TV/slide show, and a comfy armchair.Makes me think of Matisse, that armchair.I looked in my Retrospective book of Matissse and found a wonderful quotation I had never read before:"When I started to paint, I felt transported into a kind of paradise .... In everyday life, I was usually bored and vexed by the things that people were always telling me I must do. Starting to paint, I felt gloriously free, quiet and alone." Ah yes.
I have already changed her ... as cute as she is, she needed something more. She still looks too much like ME, LOL.
Yesterday evening I found my gallery was on an island in a huge sea. I think this may be the update at work.
On the other hand, Osprey returned from her personal computer oblivion, and the carousing continued!
Headburro, Osprey and I are teamed up on Osprey's beautiful park by the bay. Too bad HBA had to drop that egg just as I took this pic! I am almost back to what I consider "normal", with my computer all loaded up. I knocked over my external hard drive, though, and it is shot; clicking and moaning, it gave me a few things back, but lots of SL images are lost forever. Oh well, let go of the past, they say!
